hi, what kind of music styles do you like? i like a load of styles myself most house, hiphop, disco, dance, and that stuff, but also like blues, country, rock, lite jazz, reggae, rap, and a lot of other.
the only things i don't like is gospel, classical, and oldies and some jazz is good though not all.
how about you?
Goth.. Black Metal.. Industrial..
My favourites are rock and heavy metal. I like bands ranging from Oasis, Coldplay, Ledzeplin, Deftones, Metallica, Nervana, and that sort of thing, and some artists like Jeff Buckley, Hendrix. I also like classical(but not opera),some Jazz, some blues, and I like some Greek traditional music, and I like hearing music in other languages from other countries. I like some French rock including Noir Désire, Seize, and a few others.
Hip-Hop, R&B, alternative, Hard Rock, J-Pop, and Rap.
Tazz Oasis are not rock they a rather poor rip off of the beatles ...but apart from that you have very good taste...
mostly modern jazz like fusion, avant garte, etc.
I'm mostly into R&B and hip-hop, but I like a little bit of everything ranging from some country, to rock, to pop, and I like jazz if I can hear it live.
Love the ragtime; the music from the 20's. Love the music from the 30's-40's, all the swing jazz! I love the young Frank, Bing, Ella, Billie, and so many more! i have a huge weakness for Christmas music; I have insane erges to play it in May or some odd month like that. I'm also a big fan of country, more on the traditional side, the blues are brilliant, and a handfull of alternative. Hmmm, that'll do it for now. Smile!
I'm really in to electronic music, ranging from house music like Bob Sinclar, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, etc. Techno is great too. Richie Hawtin, Ricardo villaovis, Sven Vath, Ken Ishii and Murk are some of my favorites. Tiesto and armon van beurren are ok, but I'm not really in to transe. Break beat can be cool too. I like Krafty kuts, Atom Freeland, and the audio bullies are alright as well.
My favorite style of music is Progressive Rock or Progressive Metal or Melodic or Power Metal and good underground Metal that you don't hear on the radio like Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards, Iced Earth, Dream Theater, Queensryche, Fates Warning, etc. and can't forget Rush, Canada's greatest Prog Rockers! Apart from that, I also like adult contemporary as long as they don't throw in crappy pop like Avril Lavigne or Christina Aguilera. I like some older alternative rock like Soundgarden, Nirvana, Better than Ezra, Live, etc. but not so much of the new stuff like Muse or Modest Mouse or anyone like that. Some of the harder rock is OK like System of a Down or Disturbed or Godsmack, but I don't care for Linkin Park or Mudvayne or Slipknot or any crap like them. I like R&B and Hip Hop just as long as it's not Gangsta Rap using the N word a lot and stuff. I like older Jazz like Dave Bruebeck, Oscar Peterson, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. and I like new age and international music like Celtic folk and German rock (Die Ärzte, In Extremo, etc.) and BeckyDR got me into Russian R&B via Premier-Minstr. Oh, and I like old time country and classical and opera as well.
I've been a fan of easy listening, country, crooners and the american songbook, show tunes, and choral Christian music over the years. Still like all of them; don't know anyone else who enjoys early rock and roll, though. I'm thinking of folks like Ricky Nelson, Sam Cooke, Neil Sedaka, and Johnny Crawford. I also am starting to get into music from the forties and thirties, all vocal, Judy Garland, Lawrence Whelk, and the like.
I think Sam Cook's pretty cool, so you're not alone there.
Ooh yeah, there isn't anything like the early rock 'n roll! The stuff mostly from the fifties. Lesley Gore, Sam Cook, Fats Domino, and so on. Oh and of course, let's not forget the king. Oy, I went through a huge Elvis phase. Does nearly everyone? Lol!
Well my top genres are Classic Rock and Prog Rock. But i Quite like other genres like soft pop, Jazz, funk, adult contempory etc. infact the However i don't listen to the modern RNB, Rap techno or Death metal because the first 3 relie heavily on tape machines and drum machines, and i don't injoy listening to that kind of music any way, and the death metal just does me head in especially the vocalists who don't sing, but scream. But i like most other genres.
I love Easy listening, New age, Celtic, classical, and orchestral stuff from sound tracks of certain movies. I also like pop, rock, a little bit of country, techno, (although I do not have any of that), and a little R&B. no death metal, goth rock, jazz, oldies, or swing music for me.
rock, some metal and a bit of indie here and there.
I'm surprised I haven't chimed in on this one until now. Anyhow, my taste is pretty broad far as music goes, but I find most of what I'm attracted to is older music, mostly Sixties and Seventies. So it's mainly your classic rock and pop as long as it's quality stuff and not played into the ground, but I also like things like roots reggae, Celtic, a bit of classical, classic jazz, and a lot of stuff that's either quite specialized or just too weird to describe, such as outsider music, old Moog albums, a bit of minimalism and experimental stuff, found sound pieces, Sixties garage punk and the like.
I like more pop rock music than anything else, as well as mainstream rock, some rap and R M B, what I like to call country pop, (since the country artists that I like, which r LeeAnn Rhymes, Shania Twain, Kerry Underwood, Rascal Flats, and now Taylor Swift, have now crossed over to the pop side, but I liked them before they crossed over; I can't stand country, otherwise), nineties music, some eighties music, and I like playing classical music on the piano but not listening to it.
latin: To be more specific: Merengue, salsa, songo (from the 80s), mozambique, boogaloo (latin soul), mambo, contradanza and pretty much anything that is afro-caribbean concerned. Thats the stuff that moves me right there. Some others are blues, rock and roll, some of the modern hip-hop hits. Sacred music is also counted, since it has been blended long into the afro-caribbean styles; example, batá. Afro is also an interesting one. Gospel is nice since it includes a lot of choral participation. The only genres i don't like are country and most of the rap; heavy metal and opera. Jazz although is not heard much, can serve as a really nice addition to my harmonic vocabulary. As a pianist i like to play the blues as well as much of the latin.
J-pop, K-pop, hawaiian, rock, rnb, hip hop, reggay, old school, and a little country
I listen to any kind of music but rap, and I play guitar and sing.
